The open-standard container or wrapper format of digital audio and video media are Material eXchange Format (MXF). This format is generally used by many camcorders such as Sony XDCAM series, canon XF series and Panasonic P2 series. Unfortunately it is not an easy format to handle either on Mac or on Windows.
