MXF stands for Material eXchange Format. It’s a format used by application and gadgets of professional video broadcasters, photographers, professional shooters, etc. it may even consists of uncompressed or compressed videos and audios, metadata based on frame including the time code.
When it becomes to play MXF file on any portable media player then the first word that comes from or mouth is impossible. As if MXF file format is from another planet. But what if you want to play MXF video in it? MXF file is the advanced video file format that support various video codec’s in single metadata wrapper. Ad this file format contains different video codec’s in single file thus many video editing software fails to edit it such as FCP X, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer.
